Knowsley BSF
This project forms part of the Governments Building Schools for the Future initiative. The scheme saw the construction of 7 new schools being constructed almost simultaneously. The exterior of the buildings were designed around a ‘cube’ theme, with the interior offering sizeable atriums, moveable walls etc.
The schools are all of a similar design with laminate faced doors. Each school has doors with sixteen differing colours of laminate, all with exposed ash lippings and matching ash frames.

Acoustic performance is important and where required, doorsets were supplied with seals as appropriate to meet the required dB ratings. Also supplied were a number of glazed screens to the classroom entrance doors again in Ash
Ironmongery for the project was supplied by EDS, and all doorsets were machined in the factory to accept the ironmongery ensuring perfect fitting and simplifying and speeding up the site installation.
