This project, located in Birmingham city centre, was a new build for the relocation of the Accountancy firm KPMG. The door specification was for cross grain walnut veneered doors with walnut frames (majority of frames split design with loose stops). A number of doors to risers and less public areas were paint grade for which we offered a paint grade layon surface with concealed edges, to show a perfectly flat and smooth facing. The vision panels were glazed with unwired glass and were supplied with flush beads with a feature rebate around the perimeter.

A number of doors were pairs with each leaf in excess of 1m in width and 2.6m in height with an FD60 fire rating. This was achieved by the use of 64mm door cores and increased intumescent provision.
The main criterion for the veneered doors was that the veneer align accurately between adjacent wall panels this was achieved by close cooperation with the veneer supplier and panelling contractor.
